I used to be obsessed with Jade West, not like Melissa is with Alexander because that chick is coo coo.
I mean I was uncomfortable, and that’s saying something.
Alexander is into some hard core shit, but Melissa wants what he wants, she will do anything just to have him.
So basically we have 2 types of crazies who fall in love and have some kinky sex.
Now Jade West can write a damn sex scene.
My problem wasn’t so much the writing or even the plot, it was just long.
Like way too long.
I was skimming to get to the good stuff.
I know, I know party foul.
So it’s a solid 3 stars for me, long story but sexy nonetheless.
When it comes down to a book, we just want to escape and find sexy entertainment, well at least that’s how it is for me. This book did just that,
It was sexy, and covered some doctor fantasies I didn’t even know I had.
Garret and Natalie are a perfect match, well at least that’s what the app says, but they haven’t met. When they do meet, it’s under professional circumstances.
So things get a little messy and Garret gets a little pissy. The sexual tension is on point and the banter is great.
So why 3 stars. It was kind of slow for a short story. It was like by the time we got to the action, the book was ending.
All and all, its a quick, sexy book.
The first half of this book was almost too sweet for me, and it fell flat. Thankfully it did pick up. This wasn’t as sexy as the first one. I still liked it, but I can’t pinpoint where it lost stars, I really did expect more from Draco.
This book is about Gianna’s road to discovery and healing. We get a lot of answers about Draco. While I expected more from Draco, I was even more disappointed in Gianna. She was supposed to be this strong vengeful queen. She kind of just fell in line, I mean she did act out, but not for the right reasons?
As a dark reader, I expect the heroine to fuck up, I almost look forward to it.
Gianna really took to getting in trouble to a whole new level, and it kinda of set the rest of book, leaving us with a broken heart at the end.
I loved the writing, but I hated the way it ended, but I look forward to the next book.
October? With that ending?
I loved this book, but of course I’ve been wrapped up in this series. We got less of Reyes this go around, which wasn’t a bad thing. This is more about Charley. She is learning more about herself and becoming more self reliant.
We get to see more of Amber and of course we get to meet new people. The main case is about the Foster’s, which if you remember are the people who abducted Rayes when he was just a baby.
Rocket wasn’t in this book, which makes me sad. I love that man. We didn’t get much of Charley working with the departed, which for some reason is my favorite part.
This book left me with a lot a questions, which I hate that I have to wait till October to have answered, but it’s fine….
I seriously kept turning the page hoping for more, it was sad and pathetic, because that ending….
5 “What if I say please” Stars
Well that was unexpectedly awesome.
I got this book when it came out, and read like the first 3 pages and thought eh this might not be for me. It was on kindle unlimited so not hard no foul. Boy was I wrong. This book is right up my ally. Mystery, suspense, and some hot taboo sex.
I devoured it.
Once I got past the first chapter. I was sucked in.
Elsie is digging for answers, and she will do anything to get them. Even if it means leading her professor on and forging documents. She uses her archaeology degree as a front to get the answers to her father’s disappearance.
She’s a strong heroine, which I love.
Garrett Blackwood could dirty talk the panties off of me.
“If you said ‘please’, I’d fuck you so hard that you wouldn’t be able to sit down, walk, or breathe for days without thinking of my cock inside you.”
He really does try to keep Red at a distance, but Red is determined to bring out the beast. I can say I didn’t see the ending. This was some good stuff.
If Penelope Douglas writes it, I read it.
So I was kinda of lost where this was going, and it’s safe to say this wasn’t so much Quinn’s story as it was Kat and Jase’s story. It was a story within a story.
Oddly enough this was an emotional book. I felt everything. Was Kat kind of weak? Yes. Was Jase a selfish prick? Yeah. I just couldn’t get over the wasted years. It broke my heart reading about two people who just couldn’t get their shit together.
This book sets the pace of the rest of this series. We meet the children of everyone in the Fall Away series.
We get a glimpse of troubled friendships, rivalry, family. Some forbidden love. I can safely say I will read it.
Okay so I haven’t done a blog post in awhile. To catch up, I’ve bought just about every new book out, that I will read…. so about 5 LOL
I had to take a step back from blogging due to some haters apparently, I romanticize the wrong things
That’s a story for another day…
So this book was everything, and I’m biased so there’s that. I love Whitney G’s books.
I love the alpha males she creates, and she did perfect with Michael.
He was the dick we love to hate….
The banter was great, Mya was a great heroine. All in all, a quick sexy read.
